Our Chef invites you.........
School Catering is an exciting challenge. My aim is to dispel the myths associated with the school canteen and produce food that would not be out of place in a restaurant but at a tenth of the price. This can be achieved without comprimising the quality of the raw materials. But through sourcing local suppliers and purchasing of fresh ingredients. The spectrum of cooking is so diverse that I am still constantly learning about new recipes, produce and flavour combinations. Forever restless, I am keen to explore new boundaries and offer a diverse selection of tastes, textures and fragrances. I have proved that visual presentation is paramount to ultimate consumption and have been delighted by the assortment of vegetables children are keen to sample.I see the kitchen as an extension of the classroom which provides an education and insight into the diversity of food. We want to provide a contemporary canteen that is an integral part of school life, in an environment where students & staff alike can relax.
Utimately the catering team’s objective is to raise (& exceed) the standards currently associated with Beechen Cliff.
