The summer saw Beechen Cliff pupils and students achieve great success in A Level and GCSE examinations. 30% of A level grades were A*/A and we saw 140 youngsters win their places at university. An exceptional 25% of students achieved AAB or better in at least two facilitating subjects (national average 13%) and the ‘added value’ achieved was very positive.
At GCSE 82% of boys achieved A*-C including English and Maths with more than 35% of grades being A*/A. The ‘value added’ achievement of the school put it in the top 20% nationally and, more importantly, meant that boys at the end of Year 11 were able to make positive choices about their next steps.
