Across the Bath Hub three Ignite Days are organised annually as part of our Personal Development Programme.

These are off-timetable days where pupils and Sixth Form students from Beechen Cliff, Hayesfield and St Marks join together to take part in workshops and listen to visiting speakers enabling them to explore topics and learn together with their peers across the city. This helps develop their understanding and perspective as well as focus on relevant themes.

In 2023/24 the three days are focusing on:

  • Expectations, Values and Conduct
  • Careers
  • Personal Safety

The input for each day is age appropriate.

Careers input focuses on the next steps for each year group e.g. GCSE options in Year 9, Work Experience in Year 10 and Graduate Careers in Year 12.

Personal safety focuses on keeping safe based on the challenges young people are facing in society today including mental health, drugs and alcohol and knife crime.

Specific revision opportunities are also provided for Year 11 and Year 13 students close to their GCSE and A Level examinations.
