There is a clear link between regular attendance/punctuality and success at school. Please ensure that your son is in school before 8.25am each day. In the event of absence please contact the Attendance Office (01225 485222) or e-mail attendance@beechencliff.org.uk on the first day of absence and subsequent days of any absence, and ensure that when your son returns to school he provides the Attendance Office with a letter explaining reasons for the absence.
As far as possible, please make medical appointments outside the school day. Also please do not book holidays during term time. Parents who believe that they have “exceptional circumstances” which justify taking a pupil out of school must contact the Headmaster before any bookings are made.
If we have concerns about attendance we will contact you and this may result in a meeting being held in school.
