Student Access to School IT Systems

The information on this page is to help pupils and students to login to various online resources they will need to complete school work and homework.

Student Intranet

Students can access the Student Intranet here: https://sites.google.com/beechencliff.org.uk/bcsstudent 

Or there is a link at the bottom of the school website.

Pupils and students will be given their login and password to the Student Intranet by their tutor or in Computing lessons. School usernames are formatted as follows:

Year 7 – 4surname.firstname@beechencliff.org.uk

Year 8 – 3surname.firstname@beechencliff.org.uk

Year 9 – 2surname.firstname@beechencliff.org.uk

Year 10 – 1surname.firstname@beechencliff.org.uk

Year 11 – 0surname.firstname@beechencliff.org.uk 

Year 12 – 9surname.firstname@beechencliff.org.uk 

Year 13 – 8surname.firstname@beechencliff.org.uk 

Double-barrel surnames will be abbreviated. Please contact the school on headteacher@beechencliff.org.uk if you are unsure what your child’s login is. 

Passwords are set by the pupils and students in school when they first log on. If they have forgotten their password, this can be reset in school. Pupils and students can go to the IT Support Office to have their password reset, or alternatively parents can request this by contacting headteacher@beechencliff.org.uk.

 

Google Classroom

All homework will be set on Google Classroom and some homework will need to be submitted on Google Classroom. Pupils and students will be automatically enrolled into all of their Google Classrooms. They can access Google Classroom from the Student Intranet page, or by signing into it from any browser. Pupils and students can also download the Google Classroom app to their phones to make accessing homework easier. Parents/carers cannot login directly to Google Classroom but priority contacts will receive weekly or daily summaries of the homework their child has been set (only parents/carers with Gmail email addresses can set their summaries to daily). Please contact the school if you are not receiving these summary emails. They are set up to go to the email address provided by the primary contact, but we can add second parent email addresses on request.

Talaxy

This can be accessed via a tile on the Student Intranet page. You can also download the Talaxy School App onto a mobile device.

Talaxy gives remote access to your timetable, school reports and rewards/sanctions information.

Seneca

Some homework will be set on Seneca. This homework is auto-marked giving you instant feedback. You will access login details and links to Seneca through links on Google Classroom. When signing into Seneca, you do not need to enter any login details, simply click ‘Continue with Google’.
