To start from 1st September 2019, we are looking to appoint a teacher of Physics who will inspire and motivate students in this exceptional Bath state day and boarding school (boys in the lower school and a large mixed Sixth Form). We are looking for someone who aspires to the unconventional and can stimulate a fascination in the subject both within and beyond the confines of the classroom. The successful candidate will have to demonstrate an ability to deliver outstanding academic results and exemplary classroom practice.
The successful candidate will be joining a very successful, dynamic and ambitious Science Faculty that has a collaborative ethos. Academic results are amongst the best in the country.
Physics at Beechen Cliff is very strong and very popular. Uptake at A Level is high (typically 60 students per year group) and examination results are outstanding. The Science Faculty is proud of the many Physics students who continue their physics related studies at university including Oxbridge. The School has a vibrant extra-curricular life which includes sport, music, debating and public speaking. A willingness to contribute will be a clear advantage.
