Part-time Teaching Assistant of English to Speakers of Other Languages

  • (Salary: £10 per hour)
Part-time, variable hours, 5- 10 hours per week term time only
Closing date: Noon on Monday 23 February, 2015

  • Required from 13th April or as soon after as possible, Beechen Cliff is looking to appoint a teaching assistant of English to pupils at the school whose first language is not English.  The role is part-time with variable hours depending on need but typically this would be between 5 -10 hours per week, term time only.  The teaching would not necessarily all be in a block of time, so we would require a flexible approach to the working hours – lesson times being largely dependent on the most suitable time for the pupils/students to be extracted from their scheduled classes.  The teaching would mostly be one to one or in very small groups.
We are looking for someone with a TEFL or CELTA qualification along with some teaching experience.  Knowledge and experience of teaching the Cambridge Certificate would be an advantage.

For more information please contact Mrs P McGee, SEN Co-ordinator (Penny.Mcgee@beechencliff,org.uk) or 01225 480466.
